Me
Since my emotions have gone on a rampage, I felt compelled to write in my blog, simply to keep me sane. I'm not sure why, but I don't think my emotions/feelings are as stable as any other persons. I find that I get so wrapped up and drawn in when I'm reading books, maybe it has something to do with my ESFP personality.
It seems so odd that I bring up personality types that we learn at school. Am I one of those know-it-all people who actually grasp the knowledge that we're suppose to apply to every day life from school lessons? NO, I'm actually the farthest type of person from that. I am a slacker (when I'm not interested).
I know many teenagers go through this phase in their life where they wonder who they are. I some what know who I am, I just don't know what the future will lead me too. Which caused me to go back to grade 10 health class and look at my personality type. I looked more into and realized that it described my exact personality. Except for one thing, I'm extroverted (some what) I like to be the center of attention, but at the same time I don't want to socialize with people. Also I do enjoy the idea of becoming an entertainer, except that my talents fall short and so do my looks. It seems so impossible yet in my reach at the same time. Which leaves me even more hopeless.
Stephenie Meyer vs. J.K. Rowling. !
Lately I've been looking around twilight sites (mainly just for rob pattinson ahah.) But I keep coming across the same poll or same arguement pitting J.K. Rowling against Stephenie Meyer. I was really disappointed to see this, especially since I'm a fan of both authors and I just have this to say. How can these two seperate authors be compared to each other?? They are both very good at what they do and what they write are completely different. To all those out there bent on saying one is better this is all I have to say to you! J.K. Rowling is an amazing writer, she can write twist in a novel that you would have never guessed. She is deeply rooted with her work, because all things she writes about in her harry potter books have a background that runs deep. Unlikely stephenie meyer who is sometimes reluctant to give detials in her story, because she never thought about it deep into it's roots. (I'm not sure if all of you noticed that but I did.) In the twilight books she didn't always focuse on the background of the story, her writing seemed to be for the there and now and she'd make up the background story later. I'm not saying that, that is bad, I'm just saying that J.K. Rowling includes this in her writing style unlike Meyer. Anyways the twilight series are famous for the love story and harry potter does have some romance in it but that isn't what the story is based on. I think the only reason these two authors are being compared is because of the audience that they both appeal too, also because of the mythological sense each book has. But in the end they are totally different so leave the two alone and stop comparing them.
